The coat must be assessed and mature enough to strip safely. For the dog’s comfort, some coats may require the service to be completed over more than one appointment. This service is generally suitable for puppies between 3 and 6 months of age whose owners wish to begin developing and preserving a healthy, harsh outer coat. Age alone does not determine suitability. The puppy’s coat type and maturity must be assessed before the booking is confirmed. Puppies over 6 months that have not previously started a hand stripping programme should select Initial Hand Stripping. Dogs with an established coat cycle should select Rolling Coat Maintenance. Please provide a current photo of your puppy’s coat when requesting a booking.

A regular maintenance service for dogs with an established rolling coat and hand stripping routine. Small amounts of mature outer coat are carefully removed during each visit to preserve the correct coat layers, harsh texture, rich colour and breed-specific outline. Includes:

Pricing starts from $189. This service is intended for dogs returning approximately every four weeks and is not suitable as a first-time hand stripping appointment. Appointments outside the recommended maintenance schedule may require additional time, a revised quote or an Initial Hand Stripping.
