Initial Hand stripping
Commonly suitable for wire-coated breeds such as Scottish Terriers, West Highland White Terriers, Border Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Australian Terriers, Schnauzers, Wire-haired Dachshunds, rough or broken-coated Jack Russell Terriers and Brussels Griffons. A complete initial hand stripping service for wire-coated dogs that are new to hand stripping or need their natural coat cycle re-established. Includes:
Coat assessment
Removal of mature outer coat by hand
Undercoat carding and management
Establishment of the correct coat layers and rolling coat cycle
Coat-specific bath and blow dry
Nail trim and ear care
Breed-specific shaping and detailed finishing
Pricing starts from $289. Final pricing and duration depend on the breed, coat condition, coat maturity, areas requiring hand stripping and the dog’s behaviour. The coat must be assessed and mature enough to strip safely. For the dog’s comfort, some coats may require the service to be completed over more than one appointment. Baby Puppy Hand stripping (3-6 months) From$149
This service is generally suitable for puppies between 3 and 6 months of age whose owners wish to begin developing and preserving a healthy, harsh outer coat. Age alone does not determine suitability. The puppy’s coat type and maturity must be assessed before the booking is confirmed. Puppies over 6 months that have not previously started a hand stripping programme should select Initial Hand Stripping. Dogs with an established coat cycle should select Rolling Coat Maintenance. Please provide a current photo of your puppy’s coat when requesting a booking.

Rolling Coat Maintenance-Hand stripping(every 4 weeks)
A regular maintenance service for dogs with an established rolling coat and hand stripping routine. Small amounts of mature outer coat are carefully removed during each visit to preserve the correct coat layers, harsh texture, rich colour and breed-specific outline.

Coat condition and maturity assessment
Removal of mature outer coat by hand
Undercoat carding and management
Maintenance of the established rolling coat cycle
Coat-specific bath and blow dry
Nail trim and ear care
Breed-specific shaping and detailed finishing
Pricing starts from $189. This service is intended for dogs returning approximately every four weeks and is not suitable as a first-time hand stripping appointment. Appointments outside the recommended maintenance schedule may require additional time, a revised quote or an Initial Hand Stripping. Final pricing depends on the breed, coat condition, areas being maintained, grooming time and the dog’s behaviour.

Need more flexibility on your dog’s grooming day? Drop your dog off before work and collect them after work. Your dog will be cared for in a safe and comfortable environment before or after their grooming appointment.
